1963年インド・コルカタ生まれ、ニューヨーク在住。高分子工学の学位を経て、1995年イェール大学で美術修士号を取得。2000年ホイットニー・ビエンナーレ選出。ヴェネツィア・ビエンナーレやヨコハマトリエンナーレなど国際展に多数参加している。
